  • Simple JQuery TextArea MaxLength Function
    There are about 25,900 TextArea Maximum Length functions out there, Google said. I searched for a simple function that work on typing (Key Press) and on Copy and Paste, and able to use across the site without calling from each textarea. After few minutes of Googaling, I did not find any that fit my requirements, so here I put together a simple function You need JQuery to run this. (Download Here). (more..)

  • ColdFusion Error 500: Post Size Exceeds the Maximum Limit
    I was trying to upload large file, around 200 MB from my form to the server, and I received the error 500ROOT CAUSE: coldfusion.filter.RequestThrottleFilter$PostSizeLimitExceededException: Post Size exceeds the maximum limit.Not really nice of ColdFusion I thought, I wanted to upload large files. In ColdFusion “Maximum size of post data” set to 100 MB, which was large enough before HD video and all other use of large files comes to play. (more..)

  • Word Wrap in Dreamweaver CS5
    I just installed Dreamweaver CS5 and like everybody else, first thing I wanted to do was turn off Word Wrap. I look for the familiar icon where “Word Wrap enable/disable” function was in CS4 and it was not there in the new version. I searched everywhere, in "View", in "Preferences", could not find it. But then, I saw it, hidden in the the left side vertical icon list. (more..)

  • A Cheat Sheet for FedEx ShipAPI Certification Test Scenarios
    In my two previous posts I talked about FedEx API, and here is another post on the same API. Before FedEx provide you with access to their production API, FedEx request you to create set of sample shipping labels and mail them to FedEx office, my guess is, they want to verify you are capable of printing labels in the correct format. To do that, FedEx provide you with Certification Test Scenarios sheet with multiple categories, such as domestic, international and global shipping. (more..)

  • Create a FedEx Express Shipping Label Using Coldfusion
    In my previous post, I talk about FedEx Address verification. Now this is a function to create FedEx Express Shipping Label. This will pass your shipment information and save the shipping label as a PDF file (or PNG, DPL, etc..) in to your hard drive. Before you run this code and start creating your own FedEx shipping labels, you need to register with FedEx and accrue an API access key.  Once you have that, you are ready to access FedEx test server.
